Wholetime Supervisory Manager positions (Crew Manager and Watch Manager)

We have an exciting opportunity for a number of Crew and Watch Manager roles to assist the Service in delivering an efficient and effective service to the communities of North Yorkshire and the City of York. 

This is a time of great change for the Service.  The Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner, Julia Mulligan, has developed a Fire and Rescue Plan detailing her vision and priorities for the Service.  In addition, Chief Fire Officer, Andrew Brodie’s Ambition 2025 sets out his ideas about how we might best deliver these priorities and sets a clear direction.  It includes opportunities for transformation, the challenges the Service will face and how they can be overcome.  There has also been the recent introduction of enable North Yorkshire, a formal collaboration arrangement bringing together our enabling (support) services staff with those of North Yorkshire Police.

We are looking for individuals with strong leadership and communication skills, who are able to lead, manage and develop others, and deliver the Service’s strategy through tactical plans.

With the potential to be an effective manager and leader, the successful candidate will have an innovative approach to deliver plans across the Service to achieve positive results.  With a strong focus on collaboration, you will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to form positive working relationships and develop teams to improve performance.  

You will be required to achieve Incident Command Level 1 qualification.

Eligibility

To apply for these roles, you must be substantive in role of competent firefighter and should meet the essential criteria that is detailed within the recruitment pack.
