Incident Summary Day Shift Tuesday 16th June 2020


In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.


Newby area of Scarborough – Time of call 0814

A crew from Scarborough attended a residential property, along with paramedics, to assist with gaining access to a patient who had fallen. Crews used small tools to remove a door, allowing paramedics access to the patient.

Strensall, York – Time of call 1120

York, Huntington and Acomb crews attended along with an aerial ladder platform vehicle from Harrogate, following reports of smoke issuing from the roof of a residential property. Crews worked with two hose reel jets, a main jet, 9 metre ladder and the platform vehicle to extinguish the fire, which had developed in the roof space. Extensive fire and water damage also to the upper floor. All persons out of property and unharmed at time of fire. Crews have now left the incident but plan to return later this evening for further checks.



Crews from Ripon, Harrogate, and Northallerton attended automatic alarm activations during the night, all were false alarms.
