Incident Summary – day shift 10th June

Time : 08:03

Location : Gallowgate, Richmond

Fire crews from Richmond assisted ambulance personnel after a young boy was clipped by the wing mirror of a passing car after he jumped from a wall. Crews assisted with first aid before child was transported to hospital suffering ankle injuries.

Location : off Chapelfields Road, York

Acomb crew attended reports of a fire near some garages. This was found to be a small rubbish fire which our crews extinguished using a hose reel. The believed cause is thought to be accidental due to a dropped light.

Location : Off Seamer Road, Scarborough.

Fire crews from Scarborough were called to attend a property which was reporting smoke in the ceiling area. Crews investigated and found this to be an amount of fluff in a heating system. The fire caused damage only to the fluff build up. Crews used a triple extension ladder, hand tools and a positive pressure ventilation fan to deal with the incident.

Location : Riccall, Selby

Selby crews are currently attending a shed on fire in the garden of a property. The fire was out upon our arrival and crews have used a thermal imaging camera to ensure it’s fully extinguished and are now providing advice to owners.

Location : Off the B1257, Chop Gate

Fire crews from Helmsley and Stokesley are currently in attendance at a large shed on fire. Crews are tackling the fire with hose reels at present, no further information is available.
