Incident Bulletin – Day shift 14th May

07:43 - A61, Hutton Conyers

A crew from Ripon attended reports of smoke seen in the area. Upon arrival this was found to be controlled burning under supervision. Fire crews gave advice.

08:33 – Off North Marine Road, Scarborough

Scarborough and Filey crews were called to reports of a automatic fire alarm sounding at a property. When crews arrived this was found to be a small fire in the grill pan in the kitchen of the home. This resulted in slight fire damage to toast crumbs and smoke logging to premises. Male occupant 103yrs old was uninjured by the event and our crews ventilated the property.

12:03 – Sterling Chase, Knaresborough

A fire crew from Knaresborough and Harrogate were called to reports of a recycling lorry on fire. Fire crews initially fought the fire on scene to damp down. Crews then escorted the lorry to a waste site for the load to be emptied and damped down. Fire crews used 2 hoses and 2 breathing apparatus.

15:36 – A658 North Rigton

Both crews from Harrogate were mobilised to reports of a road traffic collision between a motorbike and car. 1 male biker aged approx 25yrs transported to hospital via road ambulance suffering broken femur, broken other leg, shoulder and abdominal injuries. Male driver of the car a Toyota Aigo aged approx 25yrs was out of the vehicle upon our arrival, he’s been transported to hospital with head injuries. Fire crews assisted ambulance crews to move the casualties and made the scene safe.

15:47 – Northway Scarborough

Scarborough crew attended a single vehicle road traffic collision where a car had collided with traffic lights.  Male drive out of vehicle upon our arrival uninjured. Crews worked to made the vehicle safe using small tools.

16:34 Weeland Road, Eggborough

A crew from Selby were called to reports of a hedgerow on fire. Upon arrival this was found to be controlled burning under supervision, crews gave advice.
