Incident Summary Thursday 11th July Night Shift


In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages where incidents have occurred.


Time 1708    Location: M62 Eastbound J33-34




A crew from Selby along with an Officer were called to a vehicle on fire. This was extinguished by our West Yorkshire colleagues, who became in attendance first, using a hose reel jet and breathing apparatus.




Time 1837    Location: St Nicholas Fields




A crew from York were called to a fire in a woods. Crews used small tools and a wildfire pack to extinguish this.




Time 1907 Location: St Nicholas Fields




A crew from Acomb were called to a fire in the open. This was a make shift bonfire left unattended. This was extinguished using a backpack sprayer and a shovel.






Time 2326  Location: Burton Stone Lane, York




An Acomb crew were called to a smell of burning near to a property. This was found to be a brazier left unattended in a garden which was extinguished using a bucket of water.




Time 0104    Location: Siward Street, York




A crew from York were called to an automatic fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm caused by dust from workmen.
