Crews from around the county have attended a number of automatic fire alarms today. Thankfully all of these have been false alarms.


Crews have also attended numerous weather related incidents due to the high winds throughout today, these mainly involving signage and guttering.


Newmarket Street, Skipton

Crews from Skipton have released one person stuck inside a lift of a commercial property. Crews used lift keys.

Crews from Hawes and Leyburn have pushed a single vehicle out of 9inch of flood water after the vehicle had become stationary in the middle.


Ferry Lane, Bishopthorpe

Time of call: 12:28


Crews from York and Acomb have rescued an elderly male from his boat after it had broken down in the middle of the River Ouse.


Acomb Road, York

Time of call: 13:03


Crews from Acomb have attended a smell of burning inside the property. This was a false alarm and no fire was found.
