Incident Summary Tuesday 11th June Night Shift


In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages where incidents have occurred.

Time 1832    Location: Burton Leonard

The Knaresborough crew extinguished a chimney fire in a residential property by attacking the fire from the roof and the hearth. Chimney kit and ladders were used.

 Time 1838    Location: A64, Malton Bypass

Crews from Malton and Pickering made the scene safe after a single vehicle road traffic accident.  A winch was used to right the car onto its’ 4 wheels and drag it off the carriageway and onto the recovery vehicle. Crews also helped clear debris from the road. The driver of the car was out on arrival and he was left in the hands of the ambulance crew


Time 2202    Location: Station Avenue, New Earswick

Crews from Huntington and York found a small fire in a garage had been started deliberately. A hose reel was used to extinguish the fire.

Time 2234    Location: Westbourne Grove, Scarborough

An overflowing bath in a flat caused flooding to the flat below. A Scarborough crew attended and gave advice to the occupants only.


In addition to the above incidents our crews attended automatic fire alarm activations in Acomb, Reeth and Thirsk.  All were false alarms.
