Incident Summary –Night shift – Monday 11th June 2019

 

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred:

 

 

 

 

 

Parliament Street, Harrogate

 

Time of call: 1759

 

Harrogate attended an automatic fire alarm at a multi use building. This turned out to be a false alarm caused by a system fault.

 

 

 

Newby Crescent, Harrogate

 

Time of call: 1929

 

2 appliances from Harrogate attended a chair on fire next to a residential property. Crews extinguished the fire using 1 hose reel jet. The fire caused damage to the chair and to 1sqm to the house wall.

 

 

 

Sutton-In-Craven, Keighley

 

Time of call: 2002

 

Skipton attended reports of a microwave fire in a flat, this was a false alarm caused by cooking fumes.

 

 

 

Sowerby

 

Time of call: 2114

 

Thirsk attended a fire in a field measuring 5m x 5m. The fire consisted of general farm yard materials and was extinguished by a farmer using machinery and earth. Crews gave advice to the farmer.

 

 

 

Thornton-Le-Street

 

Time of call: 2307

 

Thirsk and Northallerton extinguished a large unattended bonfire measuring 10m x 10m, crews used 2 hose reel jets and hand tools at this incident.

 

 

 

Brompton On Swale

 

Time of call: 0107

 

Colburn and Richmond attended an automatic fire alarm at a domestic property. This turned out to be a false alarm caused by a defective system.

 

 

 

The Crescent, Scarborough

 

Time of call: 0152

 

Scarborough attended an automatic fire alarm at gallery. This turned out to be a false alarm believed to be caused by a system fault.

 

 

 

Catterick

 

Time of call: 0428

 

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding and no response from the occupier. This was a false alarm due to insects in detector head.
