Incident Summary

Incident Summary – Night Shift Monday15thJune, 2020 

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred: 

 

Time: 17:24 

Location: Pateley Bridge 

Summerbridgewere mobilised to a report of an automatic fire alarm sounding in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to smoking materials. 

 

Time: 17:38 

Location: Topcliffe 

Thirsk attended an automatic fire alarm at a telephone exchange. This was a false alarm with the activation caused by smoke from nearby controlled burning. 

 

Time: 18:17 

Location: Overton 

An appliance from Acomb extinguished a small fire involving tress branches in a field. Crews used backpack sprayers and buckets of water at this incident. The cause of the fire was deliberate 

 

Time: 19:20 

Location: Colburn 

Appliances from Colburn and Richmond attended a small fire in a wooded area consisting of tree branches. Crews extinguished the fire using backpack sprayers and buckets of water. The cause of the fire was deliberate. 

 

Time: 19:45 

Location: Jenny Field Drive, Harrogate 

An appliance from Harrogate responded to an automatic fire alarm at a domestic property. This was a false alarm caused by malicious activation of a break glass point.  

 

Time: 20:14 

Location: Alne 

Easingwold attended an automatic fire alarm sounding in a residential care home. This was a false alarm caused by water ingress into the detector head. Crews gave advice to on site staff. 

 

Time: 20:18 

Location: Catterick Garrison 

Appliances from Colburn and Richmond attended a smalldeliberate fire in involving tree branches and aerosols. Crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel jet.  

 

Time: 20:24 

Location: Applegarth Court, Northallerton 

Northallerton were mobilised to a report of an automatic fire alarm sounding in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a faulty detector. 

 

Time: 03:15 

Location: Crab Lane, Harrogate 

Harrogate responded to an automatic fire alarm at a domestic property. This was a false alarm caused by a faulty detector. 

 

Time: 04:53 

Location: Egton Bridge 

Whitby and Goathland attended a VW Transported on fire. The van suffered 100% damage in the incident and it was extinguished using 1 hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera. The cause of the fire was deliberate.
