Incident Summary Day Shift Tuesday 31st  March 2020


In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred:


Time: 09:22

Location: Bishopthorpe Road, York

Our crews from York responded to an automatic fire alarm at a residential property. This resulted in a false alarm due to a system fault.

Time: 10:47

Location: Grosvenor Crescent, Scarborough

Our crews from Scarborough responded to an automatic fire alarm at a residential premises. This resulted in a false alarm caused by testing.

Time: 11:47

Location: Huntington Road, York

Crews from York and Acomb responded to reports of a smell of smoke in a residential property. Crews carried out an inspection with a thermal imaging camera with the cause believed to be a log burner. Advice given to home owner.

Time: 15:02

Location: The Outgang, York

Our York crew responded to reports of a small fire in woodland. The fire was discovered to be a small campfire and was extinguished using a firefighters boot.

Time: 15:54

Location: Clifton Area

Our Acomb crew attended reports of a motorcycle on fire in a field. This was extinguished using 1 hose reel jet.
