Incident Summary – Day Shift Tuesday 20th October 2020

 

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

 

 

Location: Pasture Lane, Malton

Time of call: 07:22

Crews from Malton and Pickering responded to a lorry cab well alight. On arrival the fire was confined to the front cab of the vehicle. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fire.

 

Location: Skipton

Time of call: 09:51

Crew from Skipton responded to reports of a dog locked inside a vehicle along with the owners house and car keys. Crews used small tools to gain access to the vehicle and free the dog.

 

Location: Hovingham

Time of call: 12:56

Crews from Malton and Helmsley responded to reports of smoke logging inside a premises. On arrival it is believed the smoke had been coming from a fridge which had been disconnected by the occupier prior to the fire service arrival. Crews carried out an inspection only.

 

Location: Harrogate

Time of call: 16:18

Crew from Harrogate responded to a bin on fire. Crews used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

 

Crews from Filey, Selby and Scarborough also attended automatic fire alarms throughout the county during the day.
