In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred: 

 

 

Time: 09:39 

Location: Northallerton 

 

Crews from Northallerton and Bedale responded to a property in the Northallerton area where the loft was logged with smoke. Crews used thermal imaging camera and triple extension ladder to investigate and established that there was no fire. It is believed that the smoke came from an overheating fan. 

 

Time: 09:44 

Location: Haxby 

 

Crews from Huntington and York responded to a dishwasher fire at a property in the Haxby area. On arrival the dishwasher was well alight. Crews used  1 hose reel jet, thermal imaging camera, 2 breathing apparatus and positive pressure ventilation to extinguish the fire.

Location: Great Heck 

 

Crew from Selby and Tadcaster responded to an incident in which an HGV had tipped over on to its side. Crews worked to free the driver from his cab and left him in the care of paramedics. 

 

 

Time: 13:51 

Location: Eggborough 

 

Crew from Selby responded to reports of a house firein the Eggborough area. On arrival this was confined to the rear utility area of the property. Crews used 2 hose reel jets and 4 breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. 

 

Time: 14:13 

Location: York 

 

York crew responded to a young female who had become stuck in a playground swing. They used small tools to free the girl from the swing. 

 

 

Time: 14:50 

Location: York 

 

Crew from York and Acomb responded to reports of a road traffic collision on Heslington road. All occupants were out of their vehicles on arrival of crews. They worked to make vehicles safe before leaving the scene.
