Incident Summary Day Shift Sunday 5th July 2020

5th July 2020

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

 

Eastfield, Scarborough – 09:33

Scarborough crews responded to calls of a split tree in a residential property in a dangerous position. Crews took no action and left the tree in hands of the occupant.

Rillington, Malton – 10:18

Crews from Malton responded to calls of an unsafe chimney stack on a residential property. Crews used a n9 metre ladder and working at height equipment to make chimney safe.

Romanby, Northallerton – 11:01

Crews from Northallerton responded to calls of a split tree in a dangerous position hanging over a main road. Crews made the tree safe using a triple extension ladder and reciprocating saw.

Harrogate – 12:07

Harrogate crews responded smoke issuing from the engine bay of a small car. Crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet and thermal imaging camera.

 

Crews from Scarborough and Whitby also responded to automatic alarm activations across the county. These were confirmed as false alarms.
