Incident Summary Night Shift Saturday 04th July 2020 

 

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred: 

 

 

 

 

Time: 19:06 

Location: Catterick 

Colburn and Richmond crews responded to an automated fire alarm at Catterick. On arrival this turned out to be a false alarm. 

 

Time: 19:22 

Location: York 

Crew from York responded to assist a man who’s key had snapped off in his bicycle lock. They used an angle grinder to remove the lock. 

 

Time:21:06 

Location: York 

Crew from Acomb responded to an automated fire alarm at a property in the York area. On arrival this turned out to be a false alarm caused by cigarette smoke. 

 

Time: 01:26 

Location: Skelton on Ure 

Crew from Boroughbridge responded to reports of a barn collapse in the village of Skelton on Ure. Initial reports suggested that sheep may be trapped under the structure. On arrival crew established that there were no sheep under the structure and no further action was required. 

 

Time: 04:18 

Location: Sherburn-in-Elmet 

Appliances from Tadcaster and Selby attended an incident involved a 45 year old male with his foot trapped in a lorry tail lift at a distributioncenter. Crews released the male using e-draulic cutting equipment and handed him over to paramedics. The male was taken to hospital for treatment.

Location: Thorpe Willoughby  

Selby assisted paramedics in transporting a bariatric female from her property to an awaiting ambulance. Crews used a casualty drag sheet at this incident.
