Incident Summary Day Shift Thursday 18th June 2020

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

 

Brotherton, Selby – 08:39

Crews from Selby and Pontefract responded to a summer house, bin and hedge on fire in the rear garden of a residential property. Crews used a hose reel jet and small tools to extinguish.

Whitby – 09:19

Crews from Whitby responded to calls of a toaster on fire in a resindetial home, this was a false alarm due to smoke from toast.

New Easwick, York – 09:44

Huntington crews responded to calls of a child locked in a car and in distress, crews released the child unharmed using small tools.

Giggleswick, Settle – 1608

Crews from Settle and Bentham have responded to an agricultural vehicle and trailer on fire inside a farm building containing silage and straw. **This incident is currently ongoing**

 

Crews from Scarborough, Acomb, Thirsk and Selby also responded to automatic alarm activations across the county, these were false alarms.
