Incident Summary Day Shift Friday 19th April 2019

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Well – Time of call 07:00

Masham crews responded to an automatic alarm activation, this was a false alarm due to a fault on the system.

Slingsby – Time of call 07:44

Malton crews responded to calls of large hay bales on fire. Crews used 1 hose reel, pitchforks and hand tools to extinguish.

Scarborough – Time of call 08:20

Scarborough crews responded to an automatic alarm activation, this was a false alarm due to burnt toast.

Cawood, Selby – Time of call 08:57

Crews from Selby responded to a 2 vehicle road traffic collision that also impacted a building. No persons trapped, fire crews provided safety and advice.

Harrogate – Time of call 09:52

Harrogate crews responded to an automatic alarm activation, this was a false alarm due to a fault on the system.

Hackness, Scarborough – Time of call 12:22

Scarborough crews responded to an automatic alarm activation, this was a false alarm due to a fault on the system.

Cowesby – Time of call 13:51

Crews from Thirsk responded to calls of a fire seen in a woodland area. Fire was out on arrival of Fire Service, crews inspected and gave advice to grounds keeper.

Easby – Time of call 13:55

Richmond and Colburn crews responded to a 2 vehicle road traffic collsion involving 2 cars. 1 male released by crews using hydraulic cutting gear, stabalization equipment and hard and soft protection. 2 occupants taken to hospital suffering minor injuries.

Summerbridge – Time of call 14:04

Summerbridge crews responded to calls of a fire seen in the open, this was a false alarm due to controlled burning.

East Knapton – Time of call 15:11

Malton crews responded to calls of a fire in the open off the A64 near East Knapton, fire consisted of straw bales and was extinguished using 1 hose reel jet.

York – Time of call 15:40

York crews responded to an automatic alarm activation, this was a false alarm due to accidental breakage of call point.

York – Time of call 15:46

Acomb crews responded to calls of a bin fire, crews extinguished using a bucket of water.

York – Time of call 16:14

Acomb crews responded to an automatic alarm activation, this was a false alarm due to accidental breakage of call point.

Scarborough – Time of call 16:19

Scarborough crews responded to calls of 5 people trapped in a lift, released using lift keys.

Ripon – Time of call 16:44

Ripon crews responded to calls of a fire seen in the open, this was embers from a previous bonfire, crews damped down.
