Incident Summary Night Shift Tuesday 12th March 2019

13th March 2019

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Time of call: 17:40

Carleton, Skipton

Two crews from Skipton along with a  Fire Officer were called to two cars stuck in flood water. Occupants of vehicles had walked to safety prior to Fire Service arrival. Crews checked the vehicles to ensure they were safe and left awaiting recovery.

A crew from Bedale were called to concerns over a boiler leaking fumes  in a residential property. Crews isolated the boiler and gave advice.

Nelson Street, Scarborough

Crews from Scarborough were called to a report of a television aerial which was hanging lose and in danger of falling onto a road or pathway. Crews were able to remove the aerial with the assistance of the aerial ladder platform.

Green Hammerton
A crew from Acomb were called to a report of what was believed to be a fire in the open. This was a false alarm and no fire was found.

Carleton, Skipton
Crews from Skipton, Grassington and a Fire Officer were called to a car stuck in flood water. Crews assisted by walking occupant to safety.

Park Row, Knaresborough
A crew from Knaresborough were called to a report of a road traffic collision which involved a car driving over a low wall. Occupant was out on arrival and crews assisted with making the vehicle safe.

 Time of call: 05:55
A crew from Malton were called to an Automatic Fire Alarm sounding in a residential property. This was a false alarm caused by alarm sounding due to low batteries.
