Incident Summary NightShift Thursday 26th March 2020 

 

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred: 

 

Time: 18:02 

Location: Coney Street, York 

 

Our York crew responded to reports of an automatic fire alarm sounding at a commercial premises. This resulted in a false alarm with the cause believed to be a system fault. 

 

Time: 18:37 

Location: Eastfield, Scarborough 

 

Our Scarborough crew responded to reports of a fire in the rear garden of a residential premises. The crews discovered this to be controlled burning that had become out of control. 1 hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire and advice was given to occupants. 

 

Time: 19:24 

Location: Hull 

 

Control received reports of persons trapped in a lift in a residential premises. This was discovered to be in Hull and full details were passed over to Humberside Fire Brigade to respond to the incident. 

 

Time: 19:39 

Location: Moor Lane Trading Estate, Sherburn-in-Elmet 

 

Crews from Tadcaster and neighboring brigade appliance Garforth responded to reports of smoke and smell of burning coming from a building site. Upon investigation this was discovered to be controlled burning from a residential property. Advice was given to the home owner.

Location: Coney Street, York 

 

Our York crew responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a commercial property. This resulted in false alarm.

Location: Glusburn, Keighley 

 

Our Skipton crew responded to reports of an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential premises. This resulted in a false alarm with the caused believed to have been cooking fumes. 

 

Time: 22:33 

Location: Wigginton Road, York 

 

Our York crew responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at the Hospital. This resulted in a false alarm. 

 

Time: 01:48 

Location:Heslington, York 

 

Our York crew responded to reports of an automatic fire alarm sounding at the University of York campus. This resulted in a false alarm due to a system fault.
