A crew from York has responded to a smoke alarm in a commercial property. This was a false alarm due to steam from a boiler.

 

False alarm – off Burniston Road, Scarborough

Time of call: 1214 hours

A crew from Scarborough has responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

 

False alarm – Chain Lane, Knaresborough

Time of call: 1346 hours

A crew from Knaresborough have responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to insects in the detector head.

 

False alarm – Racecourse  Road, York

Time of call: 1500 hours

A crew from Knaresborough have responded to a smoke alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to insects in the detector head.

 

Chimney fire – Market Place, Settle

Time of call: 1544 hours

A crew from Bentham has dealt with a chimney fire in a commercial property. Crew used small tools and hearth kit to extinguish and thermal imaging camera for inspection. The cause is believed to be due to faulty installation.
