Time: 08:14 

Location: Dringhouses, York 

Crews from Acomb responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential premises. This resulted in a false alarm due to a system fault. 

 

Time: 11:25 

Location: Eggborough, Selby 

Crews from Selby assisted an elderly lady who had fallen in her property. The crews helped to make her comfortable again and carried out welfare checks while the paramedics were responding.

Location: Hob Moor, York 

Crews from Acomb responded to reports of a small fire in woodland. The crews extinguished the fire using a knapsack sprayer shovel. 

 

Time: 12:32 

Location: Selby 

Crews from Selby responded to reports of a road traffic collision involving single vehicle which had collided with a garden wall. The crews assisted the police with scene safety.

Location: Ripley Road, Knaresborough 

Crews from Knaresborough responded to reports of a fire in the open in Nidd Gorge. The crews extinguished the fire using knapsack sprayers and beaters which the cause believed deliberate.

Location: Upper Poppleton, York 

Our Acomb crew responded to reports of smoke sighted in the open. This was a false alarm, due to it being controlled burning under supervision.

Location: Wooler Street, Scarborough 

One of our Scarborough crews responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential premises. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Location: Abbots Road, Selby 

Crews from Selby responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential property. This resulted in false alarm due to a faulty detector. 

 

Time: 14:47 

Location: A170, Catter Bridge 

Crews from Kirkbymoorside and Pickering responded to reports of a single vehicle road traffic collision which has collided with a small bridge and gone into the shallow beck below. Crews used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the car which was smoking, and provided first aid care to casualties who had been in the car, assisting paramedics on scene.

Location: Shambles, York 

Crews from York and Acomb responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a commercial premises. This resulted in a false alarm due to accidental operation of a break glass point. 

 

Time: 14:57 

Location: Snape, Bedale 

Crews from Bedale, Masham, Richmond, Colburn and Ripon responded to a residential property fire. The crews extinguished the fire using 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets, one light portable pump and one branch. The incident is ongoing with crews hotspotting.

Location: Ayton Banks Wood, Great Ayton 

Crews from Stokesley responded to reports of a fire in the woods. This incident is ongoing.
