Askwith

Time of call: 0811

Harrogate crew investigated reports of smoke on moorland, this was a false alarm caused by controlled heather burning under supervision.

Richmond

Time of call: 1006

Ripon extinguished an external wood burner that was set alight causing a large amount of smoke. The crew used 1 hose reel jet and 2 breathing apparatus at this incident.

Sowerby

Time of call: 1350

Thirsk crew attended an automatic fire alarm at a school. This was a false alarm caused by malicious activation of a call point. Advice given by crews.

Sherburn-in-Elmet

Time of call: 1439

Tadcaster extinguished an industrial skip containing general waste and wood chippings on fire. The crew used 1 hose reel jet, 1 main jet, triple extension ladder and 2 breathing apparatus at this incident

Harrogate

Time of call: 1501

Harrogate extinguished a builder’s skip containing general waste on fire. The crew used 1 hose reel jet at this incident

Brompton

Time of call: 1704

Northallerton attended an automatic fire alarm at a residential address. This was a false alarm caused by burnt toast.
