Incident Summary – Night Shift – 14th May 2019

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred:

Seamer, Scarborough

Time of call: 21:18

A crew from Scarborough were called to a fire in the open. This was a small fire under supervision. No action was taken by Fire Service

Melrosegate, York

Time of call 21:22

A crew from York were called to what was thought to be a fire. Crews carried out a thorough search of the area and no fire was found.


Time of call: 21:32

Crews from Masham and Summerbridge were called to a report of a fire in the open. This was controlled burning unsupervised. Crews allowed this to burn out.

Scarcroft Road, York

A crew from York were called to a report of an automatic fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm caused by a fault on the system.

Wetherby Road, Harrogate

Time of call: 01:21

A crew from Harrogate were called to an automatic fire alarm activation. This was a false alarm caused by deodorant spray.

Street off Stutton Road, Tadcaster

Time of call: 01:41

A crew from Tadcaster attended to a resident who was unsure of the sound emitting from their smoke alarm. This was caused by a low battery.
