Incident summary Nightshift 12 January 2020

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round up we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages where incidents have occurred.

 

Incident Summary Night Shift Sunday 12th January 2020

Time: 17:42

Location: East Park Road, Harrogate

Crews from Harrogate responded to reports of an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential property. Crews discovered a microwave fire that was extinguished prior to arrival and ventilated the property. Crews then gave advice to the occupant.

Location: A162, Sherburn in Elmet

Crews from Tadcaster responded to reports of a fire sighted in the open. Upon further investigation this was found to be controlled burning under supervision and advice was given to the resident.

Location: Piccadilly, York

Crews from Huntington responded to reports of an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential premises. This resulted in a false alarm, advice was given to the occupants.

Location: Greatwood, Skipton

Crews from Skipton assisted the ambulance service with gaining access to a residential property.

Location: Commercial Street, Malton

Crews from Malton responded to reports of a car on fire. The crews used 2 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the fire with the cause believed to be an electrical fault.

Location: Nether Poppleton, York

Acomb responded to reports of an automatic fire alarm sounding at a health club. This resulted in a false alarm – cause unknown.

Location: Stockwell Road, Knaresborough

Knaresborough responded to reports of an automatic fire alarm sounding at sheltered accomodation. This resulted in a false alarm – cause cooking fumes.

Location: Trinity Road, Scarborough

 Scarborough responded to reports of an automatic fire alarm sounding at flats. This resulted in a false alarm – cause system fault.
