Incident Summary - Day shift Sunday 7th July

Fishergate York

Time of call 08:41

York and Acomb crews attended a fire in a bedroom of a residential property. The cause of the fire is believed to be a candle that scorched a wall. No further damage was caused.

North Park Road, Harrogate

Time of call 11:57

Harrogate and Knaresborough  crews attended a fire in a ground floor flat. Th ecause of the fire is believed to be a candle. 25% fire damage was caused to the bathroom and 75% heat and smoke damage to bathroom. No people were injured or  inside the property at the time of the fire. Ctews extingusihed the fire using fiur breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets.

Darlington Road, Richmond

Time of call 12:41

Fire crews from Richmond attended a car fire involving a Mini Cooper. Cause of fire is believed to be a issue with the turbo/ A passer by used a dry powder extinguisher on the vehicle before the crews attended. Slight damage was caused to vehicle.

Clapgate Bank. Richmond

Time of call 13:30

Richmond crews responded to a trail bike fire. The cause of the fire is unknown. 15% fire damage was caused to the bike. Crews used a hose reel to extinguish.

Firby Lane, Ripon

Time of call 13:58

Crews from Ripon attended a fire involving a pile of newspapers outside. The cause was deliberate. Crews extingusihed fire using a hose reel jet.

Off Starra Field Lane, Whixley

Time of call 14:41

Boroughbridge and Knaresborough and crews from Tadcaster responded to a tractor fire that spread to silage haybales and tyres. Crews used the water bowser from Tadcaster and machinaery from the farmer to extingusih the fire. The cause of the fire is believed to be spontaneous combustion. Crews used four breathing apparatus and two hose reels.

Hawnby, Helmsley

Time of call 15:38

Fire crews from Helmsley responded to reports of fuel spilled across the road following a road traffic collision. On arrival Ambulance crews were not yet in attendnace and crews administered firest aid until arrival of Ambulance, then they swilled away the road.
