Incident Summary –Day Shift Sunday 22ndNovember 2020
In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.
Appliances from Tadcaster and Acomb were mobilised to reports of a transit van on fire. On arrival, crews confirmed this was a false alarm with engine smoke caused by a blown turbo. Crews gave advice to the owner.
Location: Off, Crab Lane, Harrogate
Harrogate attended an automatic fire alarm in a domestic property, this was a false alarm caused by a low battery. Crews gave advice and replaced the alarm.
Location: Off, Gladstone Road, Scarborough
Both Scarborough appliances attended reports of a electric cooker on fire in a domestic property. On arrival crews confirmed this was a false alarm with the smoke being caused by an electrical wire short circuiting in the cooker. Crews removed the cooker from the property and gave advice to the owner.
Location: Olympian Court, York
York attended an automatic fire alarm in a property. This was a false alarm caused by a system fault.
Location: Hookstone Chase, Harrogate
Harrogate and Knaresborough were sent to reports of thick black smoke in the area. On arrival crews confirmed this was a false alarm with the smoke being caused by controlled burning of a brasier.
Location: Seamer, Scarborough
An appliance from Scarborough attended an automatic fire alarm at a commercial building, this was a false alarm caused by a system fault.
Location: Crag Lane, Harrogate
Harrogate attended an automatic fire alarm, this was a false alarm caused by steam from a dishwasher.
Location: Short BankRoad, Skipton
Both Skipton appliances attended a oven fire in a first floor flat. 2 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel jet were used to extinguish the fire, crews then removed the oven from the flat and gave advice to the occupant.
