Incident Summary Day Shift Monday 8th July 2019

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Time of call:  08:34      High Bentham

Crews attended and dealt with a small fire in a property. Damage to food in toaster only. Crew used thermal image camera to check the area before leaving the incident.

Time of call:  10:11      Romanby area, Northallerton

 Northallerton crew assisted ambulance to gain entry to a property for medical purposes. Crew used door breaker to allow ambulance to gain access to casualty.

Time of call:  10:29           Fewston, Harrogate area

Harrogate crew attended and extinguished a small fire involving a tree stump. Bucket of water used to extinguish the fire.

Time of call: 11:38         Lucas Avenue, York

Huntington crew assisted ambulance to gain entry to a property for medical purposes. Crew used small tools to allow ambulance to gain access to casualty.

Time of call: 12:37          Khyber Pass, Whitby

Whitby crew assisted with a vehicle leaking fuel, they used an environmental pack to absorb the spill and left the incident in the hands of Police and Highways

Time of call: 17:00          Brompton-On-Swale

Richmond and Colburn crews are in attendance at a muck heap on fire, they are using 2 hose reel jets at this incident **incident ongoing**

Update- crews attended a muck up of 9mx5m on fire. They used 2 hose reel jets and a farmer assisted with their tractor. T

Time of call: 17:05          Melrose Gate, York

York extinguished a small fire in a wooded area, they used a bucket of water at this incident and the cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate.

North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service also attended automatic fire alarms in Easingwold, Scarborough & York, these were all false alarms.
