Incident bulletin Dayshift 11 August 2019

10th August 2019

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Moor Lane, South Duffield – Time of call 08:05

Selby crew extinguished a bin fire using a hose reel. Cause – believed cigarette.

Wigginton Road, York – Time of call 10:13

York responded to an automatic alarm activation at a medical establishment. This was a false alarm due to smoking.

Nidd Bank, Knaresborough – Time of call 11:14

Knaresborough attended to a tree stump fire. Allowed to burn out under supervision.

Collingwood Avenue, York – Time of call 11:27

Acomb responded to an alarm activation in a domestic residence with the cause being due to burnt toast.

Selley Park Drive, Scarborough – Time of call 12:47

Scarborough responded to a BMW car fire. Fire extinguished by use of hose reel, e-cutters, foam and drizzit pads. The BMW suffered extensive fire to the engine bay with the cause believed to have been an electrical fault.

Southlands Close, South Milford – Time of call 15:58

Selby responded to report of thick smoke in area. False alarm due to controlled burning in brazier. Advice given.
