Incident Summary Day Shift Monday 24th February 2020

 

 

 

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names, for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

 

 

 

Sinderby

 

TOC: 0804

 

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire in an outbuilding. Crew extingusihed fire using 2 hose reels and 4 breathing apparatus. Approx 140 pigs were removed from the building. Cause is believed to have been due to a faulty heater.

 

 

 

Selby

 

TOC: 1028

 

Crew were mobilised to a premises affected by flooding. Crew removed 1 disabled male from premises and into care of ambulance crews.

 

 

 

Skipton

 

TOC: 1131

 

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm due to a faulty detector.

 

 

 

Cayton

 

TOC: 1138

 

Crew were mobilised to a report of a child who had a knee trapped behind water pipes. Crews used hydraulic cutters to free the child.

 

 

 

Tadcaster

 

TOC: 1147

 

Crew were mobilised to a report of electric cabling touching conifers. No fire, advice given and occupant advised to await arrival of electricity company.

 

 

 

Glusburn

 

TOC: 1258

 

Crew were mobilised to a flooding within a property. Crews diverted flow of water using small tools until water level began to recede.

 

 

 

Middleham

 

TOC: 1258

 

Crew were mobilised to a report of a fire involving an electrical box outside of a property. This was a small fire involving cabling from house. Power was isolated and advice given.

 

 

 

Glusburn

Crew attended a report of a flooding to a property. Ejector pump used.

 

 

 

Ainderby Steeple

 

TOC: 1334

 

Crew were mobilised to a report of a 3 vehicle road traffic collision. Crews extricated 1 male from a vehicle, and handed into care of air ambulance to be taken to hospital. Hydraulic cutters and stabilisation gear used.

 

 

 

Glusburn

 

TOC: 1356

 

Crew were mobilised to a report of flooding to a premises. Crews used a light portable pump to divert excess water and advised occupier to contact water board due to blocked drainage.

 

 

 

York

 

TOC: 1435

 

An officer was mobilised to assess a report of flooding to a premises involving a large amount of water built up on a canvas roof. 1 appliance from york station attended to remove approx 500 litres of water from roof.

 

 

 

Embsay

 

TOC: 1443

 

Crew were mobilised to a report of a female being swept under a bridge in fast flowing water. Crews rescued female from water and handed into care of ambulance crews.
