Incident Summary 24th Feb Day Shift

24th February 2021

In order to ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

09:19 Oswaldkirk, Helmsley

Two crews attended a fire nvolving a domestic outbuilding, approx 10x5 metres. The building contained a mini digger and a battery for solar panels that had been turned on a few days ago. It is believed the fire was caused by a fault in the solar panel battery. The fire caused 100% damage to the roof of the bulding and the mini digger. Crews used breathing apparatus, hose reel jet, main jet, ladder and thermal imaging camera.

A crew attended an incident where a 6 year old child had become wedged between v-shaped branches of  trees. Crews were able to rescue the child using crew power over. The child was checked over by ambulance crews as a precaution

14:51 Scarborough- false alarm controlled burning under supervision. Advice given

15:55 A1 northbound J48 to J49

Crews attended a three vehicle road traffic collision on the A1. All the occupants of the vehicles were out on the arrival of crews. No action was required by fire crews.

16:06 Sawley- false alarm caused by smoke from chimney.
