It’s International Control Room Week!

Control Rooms around the world are celebrating each other, their achievements and their incredible contribution they make, this International Control Room Week (Monday, 23 October – Sunday 29 October)

And here in North Yorkshire we are no different.

Our control room, based in Northallerton, is at the heart of our service, they don’t just answer all 999 and other non-emergency fire service calls, but also requests from other agencies and emergency services too.

They work through some of the most challenging and stressful situations, but do so in a calm and professional manner, offering the best possible service to the people of North Yorkshire.

Assessing situations in a split second and reacting appropriately is key to this role and they all do such a fantastic job.

So, although we appreciate those who work in our Control Room every day, this week we want to say a GREAT BIG THANK YOU.
