Incident Summary – 15th September 2024, Night Shift

Time: 17:18  Location: Harrogate

A crew from Harrogate responded to a report of an alarm activation at a commercial premises. This was a false alarm due to a fault on the system.

Time: 17:28  Location: York

Crews from York, Acomb and Malton responded to a report of a 3 vehicle RTC. On the arrival of crews, 5 occupants were out of the vehicles and in the care of ambulance crews. Crews made the scene safe and contained a fuel spill from one of the vehicles before assisting the police to carry out a controlled roll of one of the vehicles. Crews cleared the roadway from debris and left the incident in the hands of the police.

A crew from Ripon responded to a report of an alarm activation at a residential property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Time: 19:02  Location: Ripon

A crew from Ripon responded to a report of a youth that had become stuck in a childrens swing. Crews released the youth from the swing using small tools and gave advice.

Time: 19:17  Location: York 

A crew from York responded to a report of an alarm activation at a residential property. This was a false alarm due to dust in the detector head.

Time: 20:11  Location: York 

A crew from Acomb responded to a report of a fire seen in the open. Crews found this to be a controlled burn that had been left unattended. Crews extinguished the fire using knapsack sprayers.

Time: 20:26  Location: Scarborough 

Crews from Scarborough and Filey responded to a report of a smell of burning in a residential property. Crews found this to be a false alarm due to smoke from an adjacent properties log burner. Crews carried out home fire safety visits at both properties.

A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of an alarm activation at a commercial premises. This was a false alarm due to a faulty detector.
