18:51 Rawfield lane, Selby

Selby crews responded to reports of a fire sighted in a field. On arrival and after inspection crews confirmed that this was not a fire but misting from an irrigation line in a cornfield mistaken for a fire.

18:57 Scarborough

Scarborough crews were mobilised to a small fire set deliberately on the pier. Crew confirmed the fire had gone out when they arrived. The fire consisted of rubbish and wood.

23:33 Foston

Malton crews responded to reports of a fire sighted very close to some trees in the open. Once the crew arrived and inspected they confirmed this was a controlled burn under supervision.

21:31 Catterick Garrison

Colburn crews responded to a domestic property to investigate a smell of burning reported by the resident. Crews found this to be a false alarm due to smoke from a controlled burn in a neighbours garden.

22:19 Osbaldwick Lane, York 

York crews responded to a report of a fire in the rear garden of a residential property. This was found to be controlled burning under supervision, advice was given to the occupants.

22:28 Station Road, York 

Acomb crews responded to a report of a person who had become stuck in a lift between floors. Crews gained access to the lift control room, where they were able to lower the lift and release the person.

23:56 Fairburn

Tadcaster crews responded to a report of a fire seen in the open. Crews located a fire measuring 10m x 10m consisting of household rubbish. The fire was extinguished using 1 hose reel jet.

In addition automatic fire alarm activations were investigated in Harrogate. Kirkbymoorside, Scarborough, Filey and Huntington and confirmed as false alarms
