Incident Summary – Night shift Friday 12th July

17:24 Newby, Scarborough

Scarborough crews assisted Ambulance crews with the extrication of a casualty from their property and into an Ambulance.

17:52 Wetherby

Tadcaster crews assisted West Yorkshire Fire Service with a fire in a public building. On their arrival the fire had been extinguished by Wetherby appliance.

18:51 Northallerton

Northallerton crews responded to reports of two teenagers stood on a bridge over a railway line. On arrival crews couldn’t locate anyone on the bridge. A search of the area was carried out and then left in the hands of Police at the scene.

21:24 West Heslerton

Sherburn and Malton crews responded to reports of a chimney fire in a domestic property.After investigating crews confirmed this was a false alarm.

23:29 Thirsk

Thirsk crews were requested to assist Ambulance to gain access to a domestic property due to concerns for the resident. Ambulance managed to raise the resident who opened the door and did not required medical assistance. No action required by Fire Service

03:06 Brompton, Northallerton

Northallerton and Thirsk crews attended reports of a smell of electrical burning within a residential premises. Crews completed a full search of the premises and could not locate the smell of burning of any sign of fire.

In addition to the above incidents automatic fire alarm activation’s occurred and were attended by crews in Acomb, Tadcaster, Skipton. All were investigated and confirmed as false alarms.
