Incident Summary – Wednesday Dayshift, 3rd July 2024

To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred. 

Time: 07:47   Location: Tower Street area, York

York crews responded to reports of a fire sighted in the open. On arrival crew investigated and confirmed this was a controlled burn under supervision.

Time:12:55    Location: Harrogate

Harrogate and Knaresborough crews responded to a house fire. On arrival fire fighters were deployed wearing breathing apparatus and rescued three dogs inside the property. Crew extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet. Fire started in the kitchen due to dogs jumping up and switching the cooker on.

Time: 13:43   Location: Morton On Swale

Northallerton crews assisted Ambulance crews with moving a casualty from tehir property into an Ambulance. Crew power used.

In addition crews attended smoke alarm activations in Malton and York. Both were confirmed as false alarms.
