17:53, Burnsall

A crew from Grassington responded to reports of a dog locked in a hot car. On arrival, the owners had smashed the window of the car, to retrieve the dog, unharmed. No action was required by crews.

18:23, Ings Lane, Skipton

A crew from Skipton responded to reports of a fire to a disused transit van. The fire caused 40% damage to the van. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. The cause was deliberate.

18:45, Skutterskelfe

A crew from Stokesley responded to reports of a fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm.

19:21, Low Moor Avenue, York

A crew from Easingwold responded to reports of a hedge on fire. Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, which consisted of a storage box and a hedge measuring 5m. The cause of the fire was a bonfire.

20:32, Kings Road, Harrogate

A crew from Harrogate responded to reports of a fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm.

22:58, Westerdale, Whitby

Fire control received a call from a resident of a farm house stating a feral cat had got into their property and had become trapped in a void behind a fire place. Danby crew attended and were able to access the void and rescue the cat using small tools and a ladder.

23:29, Copmanthorpe, York

A call was received to assist police in gaining entry to a property after a male had managed to call the police from his Apple watch to say he’d fallen down the stairs and wasn’t able to get up. Our crew from Acomb used their door enforcer to gain access to the property and a community first responder was then able to assess the male for any injuries.

00:29, Off Kingsway West, York

Acomb crew were mobilised to attend a property after a 17yr old female had become trapped in her bedroom after the door hinges broke with the door shut. prior to our arrival the female had self rescued by climbing out of a first floor window. Crew assessed her for any injuries and gave advice.
