Incident Summary – Day Shift, Wednesday 19th June

To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Time: 08:25   Location: Malton

Crews from Malton assisted ambulance crews with the extrication of a male occupant from a residential property into the ambulance. Crews assisted with the transfer using crew power and left the occupant in the care of paramedics.

Time: 12:00   Location: York

Crews from York and Acomb attended reports of a 2 vehicle road traffic collision involving one of the vehicles colliding into a tree with possible persons trapped. Crews were able to release the female occupant from her vehicle using edraulic cutting equipment, spreaders and a reciprocating saw. The female occupant was transferred to hospital via road ambulance to receive further care. All other occupants were out of their vehicle on arrival of the fire service.

Time: 13:19   Location: Stakesby Road, Whitby 

Crews from Whitby and Lythe attended an automatic fire alarm activation at a residential property. This was confirmed to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes, advice was given to the occupier.

 

 

During the day crews from Skipton and Whitby also attended automatic fire alarm activations. These resulted in false alarms.
