Time: 07:42 Location: York
Crews from Acomb attended an automatic fire alarm activation at a residential property. Following investigation of crews this was discovered to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes. Advice was given to the occupier.
Time: 08:56 Location: York
Crews from York attended an incident involing a ring stuck on a persons finger. Crews were able to remove the ring using a ring cutter.
Time: 10:13 Location: Whitby
Crews from Whitby attended reports of an automatic fire alarm activation at a residential property. Crews discovered this to be a false alarm following further investigation as there was no alarm sounding and no sign of any fire.
Time: 12:19 Location: Kings Road, Harrogate
Crews from Harrogate attended reports of smoke sighted in the open, this was discovered to be a controlled burn under the supervision of a responsible person.
Time: 13:54 Location: York
Crews from York attended an incident involving a female stuck in a swing. The crew were able to release the female using crew power only.
Time: 15:25 Location: Harrogate
Crews from Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripon and a bordering bridage appliance from West Yorkshire attended an incident involving reports of a smell of smoke coming from a lift. Crews investigated using a thermal imaging camera and crew power. This was discovered to be a false alarm due to the smell of smoke caused by the overheating of the lift motor.
