Incident Summary – Night Shift Thursday 30th May

1958 – St Winfreds Road, Harrogate.  A passing Harrogate crew was alerted to a fire by a member of the public. The crew investigated and extinguished a small fire consisting of controlled burning left unattended, a bucket of water.

2056 – Valley Gardens, Harrogate.  A Harrogate crew attended reports of a fire in Valley Gardens. Crews found a fire that was out on our arrival. The cause was deliberate. Crews inspected only.

22:04 -Cropton Forest, Stape.  A crew from Kirkbymoorside responded to reports of a tree that had fallen on a power line and caught fire. On arrival of crew the power grid were in attendance and the fire had burnt itself out. Inspection only carried out.

2356 – Easingwold.  A crew from Easingwold attended a property to assist ambulance crews gaining entry. On arrival crew made contact with the occupier through a first floor window and they were able to come downstairs and open the door for ambulance crews.

0033 – Askwith Lane, Askwith.  Crew from Harrogate attended a single vehicle road traffic accident where a car had come off the road and ended up on its roof in a ditch. Crew attended and made safe by turning off the ignition. The driver was out on our arrival and sustained no injuries.

0107 – East Layton.  Crew from Richmond attended a property where water was leaking through a ceiling. Crews isolated the water supply and assisted the occupant.

 

In addition to the above incidents we also attended automatic fire alarm activations in Ripon, Whitby and York. All were false alarms.
