18:26, A64 Jinnah

Crews from York, Acomb and Malton responded to reports of a vehicle on fire in a layby. This was a fire to a Citreon DS, which was 100% damaged by fire. The cause was an electrical fault. Crews used 2 hose reel jets and 2 breathing apparatus  to extinguish the fire.

18:41, St Nicholas Street, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough responded to reports of 2 persons stuck in the lift. The crew released both occupants, unharmed, using lift keys.

19:04, Off Victoria Road, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough responded to a fire alarm sounding in a block of flats. This was a false alarm caused by a faulty detector head.

21:05, Off Victoria Road, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough responded to a fire alarm sounding in a block of flats. This was a false alarm caused by accidental activation of call point.

21:12, Haxby Road, York

A crew from York responded to a fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm with an unknown cause.

21:40, Abbots Road, Selby

A crew from Selby responded to reports of an automatic fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm, caused by a fault on the system.

22:06, Hunmanby, Filey

A crew from Filey responded to reports of a female who had fallen behind a door, meaning carers and the ambulance service were unable to access the patient. Crews gained entry to the bedroom, and administered first aid to the patient, who was left in the care of the ambulance service.

22:45, Fawcett Street, York

A crew from York responded to a request from police, to gain entry to a property on behalf of the ambulance service. Crews used small tools, game kit and a door enforcer to gain entry to the property. The patient was then left in care of the ambulance service.

00:09, Off Almsford Road, York

A crew from Acomb responded to a request from the ambulance service to assist them with the lift of a patient within a property. Crews assisted the male from the property, who was left in the care of the paramedics.

04:53, Off Wigginton Road, York

Incident involved a crew from York who were sent on behalf of Police to assist ambulance staff in gaining entry to a property with a casualty inside. Upon arrival ambulance crew had already gained entry and incident was left in their hands.

04:49, Heslington York

Acomb crew attended an automatic fire alarm sounding at student accommodation. After investigation this was found to have been caused by an aerosol spray being used. Advice was given.

05:05, Swinton near Malton

One of our first responder’s assisted ambulance service by attending a property whereby an elderly female had slipped out of bed. The first responder took observations and assisted female back into bed using crew power.

06:13 Off Victoria Road, Scarborough

One of the Scarborough pumps attended a property after reports of flooding inside the premises coming from upstairs. Upon arrival the crew found water leaking from first floor down into the basement. The stop tap was isolated
