Incident Summary – Day shift 22nd May 2024

08:04 Bulmer, Malton 
Crews from Malton and York responded to a report of a 2 vehicle RTC involving a car and van. On the arrival of crews, all occupants of both vehicles were out and in the care of paramedics suffering minor injuries. Crews made the vehicles safe and left the incident in the hands of the police.

08:29 Wetherby Road, Rufforth 
Crews from Acomb and Tadcaster responded to a report of a 3 vehicle RTC. All occupants were out of the vehicles on the arrival of crews with minor injuries and left in the care of ambulance crews. Crews made the vehicles safe and moved them to a safe location to await recovery.

09:07 North Parade, Skipton 
A crew from Skipton responded to a request for assistance from ambulance crews to gain entry to a residential property where they had concerns for the occupant. Crews gained access to the property and left the incident with ambulance crews.

10:48 Eastborough, Scarborough 
A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of a water leak in a commercial property. Crews located water leaking from an upstairs flat that was causing the electrics to trip. Advice was given to the occupant.

13:01 Sandsend, Whitby
A crew from Whitby responded to a report of flood water entering residential properties due to drains being backed up. Crews used an LPP to pump the water away until levels receeded.

13:02 Thrintoft Moor Lane, Northallerton 
A crew from Northallerton assisted in pumping water away from stables housing horses using an LPP. Crews also assisted in creating a dam to prevent further water entering the stables.

13:35 Newholm
A crew from Lythe responded to a report of water flooding a residential property. Crews used small tools to divert the water away from the property and monitored levels until they had reduced.

13:46 Woodfield Drive, Harrogate 
A crew from Harrogate responded to a report of an alarm activation at a residential property. This was a false alarm due to an unknown cause.

13:48 Runswick Bay 
Crews from Robin Hoods Bay and Lythe responded to reports of flood water entering multiple properties. Crews pumped water away from properties until it reduced to a suitable level for the drains to cope with.

14:24 Faceby Road, Carlton in Cleveland 
A crew from Richmond responded to a report of a vehicle stuck in flood water with the occupant on the roof. Crews located the vehicle but the occupant was not with the vehicle. Crews carried out searches of the local area and located the male at home.

15:50 Heslington, York 
A crew from York responded to report of an alarm activation at a residential property. Crews found that no alarm was sounding in the property.

16:08 A1(M) J50 to J51 
Crews from Ripon and Borougbridge responded to a report of a single vehicle RTC where the vehicle had left the road and collided with a bush. All occupants were out of the vehicle on the arrival of fire crews. Crews left the vehicle in situ as it was in a safe location. Male occupant of vehicle left in the care of ambulance crews with minor injuries.

16:35 Heslington Road, York
A crew from York responded to a report of water leaking into a residential property that was affecting the electrics. Crews isolated the leak and the electrics to the property and gave advice to the occupant.
