Incident Summary – Night shift, 8th of May 2024

To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Reeth Road, Richmond – 18:12

Crews from Richmond responded to a single vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorcycle leaking fuel. Crews provided first aid to a 17 year old female rider until arrival of Ambulance crews, and also carried out traffic management.

St Peters Road, Whitby – 19:21

Whitby crews responded to a small fire in the open near to a woodland area, off of St Peters Road. Crews extinguishing the consisting of fence paneling and shrubbery using backpack sprayers and buckets of water.

Oakdale Glen, Harrogate – 20:28

Crews from Harrogate responded to tree fire in a woodland area. Crews extinguished using knapsack sprayers and beaters.

Richmond – 03:17

Richmond crew were requested to attend a domestic premises by Police to gain entry for Ambulance for a male casualty within.

Crews from York and Whitby attended numerous automatic fire alarm activations during the night. These were all false alarms.
