A crew from Harrogate assisted after a person became locked in a room after the lock failed. Small tools used to release the occupant.

12:08 York

Crew from York responded to a fire that had started inside a handbag in a public assembly building. On arrival the fire had already been extinguished by a member of the public using a water extinguisher. The cause of the fire was believed to be a lithium battery.

In addition crews from Whitby, Selby Tadcaster and Richmond attended automatic fire alarm activations. These resulted in false alarms.
