10:38 Thornton Le Dale

Pickering and Malton crews responded to reports of a fire in a domestic kitchen. On arrival this was confirmed as a pan on hob which caused steam triggering the fire alarms. No fire occurred. Crews gave advice to occupier and carried out fire safety checks.

11:36 Selby

Selby crews assisted Ambulance crews at a nursing home with moving a patient from the first floor downstairs into an ambulance.

11:54 East Parade, Harrogate

Knaresborough crews responded to assist four people stuck in a lift. Crews managed to bring the lift to the ground using lift keys and release the doors.

13:05 Langthorne

Bedale and Richmond crews were mobilised to a chimney fire in a domestic property. Crews confirmed a small fire behind the wooden mantle. Crews removed mantle using tools and extinguished the fire using a hose reel.

13:48 Whitby

Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay responded to a chip pan fire. male occupant was out the property on arrival but suffering from smoke inhalation. Crews administered first aid until arrival of paramedics. Fire was extinguished by two hose reels and two breathing apparatus.

In addition automatic fire alarm activations occurred in Harrogate and Acomb. The alarms were investigated and confirmed as false alarms.
