Incident Summary for the Day Shift for Thursday 25th April

1127 – Recreation Road, Pickering.  The Malton crew extinguished a car on fire using a hose reel and breathing apparatus. The car was completely destroyed by the fire and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

1340 – A64 York.  Crews from York and Acomb attended a road traffic collision and helped release a male from a car and into the care of paramedics. Crew-power only was used.

1532- Stonebow, York.  York and Acomb crews, plus a Aerial Ladder Platform from Harrogate attended reports of smoke in a commercial premises. After a full inspection a faulty light fitting was found to have overheated and produced smoke. Crews handed over to an engineer for repair.

In addition to the above incidents we also attended automatic fire alarm calls in Harrogate, and Ripon. Both were false alarms.
