Time: 17:54  Location: rear of Fulford School, York

York fire crew attended a small fire in the open reported by a member of the public. The caretaker had extinguished the fire prior to our arrival using an extinguisher. Crew inspected and the cause it thought to have been deliberate.

Time: 19:44 Location: Off Northway, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough attended the area after a female stated she believed her cat which had gone missing on Sunday was trapped in a yard. It was unknown if the cat was physically trapped by something so a crew was mobilised to investigate. Upon our arrival the cat made a hasty self-rescue from the yard back into the safe hands of it’s owner and no fire service was required.

Our Bentham crew have assisted ambulance personnel in removing a female casualty from a property into an awaiting ambulance where she was then transported to hospital for further treatment following a fall.

Time: 23:24 Location: Tadcaster 

The fire crew from Tadcaster assisted the occupant of a property, who after coming home found water leaking through his ceiling and down his walls. Crews assisted by isolating the main water supply after it was found his boiler was leaking. Crew also gave the occupant some bottled water and gave advice.

Time: 00:25 Location: Scalby, Scarborough

A Scarborough crew attended a property in Scalby where a female resident of a flat had become locked in her living room due t the door handle failing. Crew gained access to flat and then released female from living room. They used small tools and gave advice to the resident.

Time: 02:26 Location: Egton, Whitby

Fire control received a call from a member of the public over concerns a cow had its leg stuck in a fence. Whitby crew along with the large animal rescue equipment from Malton were mobilised. Unfortunately after thorough investigations at the location provided no cow in distress was found and crews left the scene.
