Incident Summary – 19th April 2024 – Night Shift

 

Silpho, Scarborough – Time of call: 1843

A crew from Scarborough responded to reports of a fire sighted in woodland. On arrival crews confirmed this was controlled burning under supervision, advice was given to the responsible persons.  

Whitby Road, Pickering – Time of call: 2033

An emergency first responder attended a 79 year old male with chest pains. General observations were taken before the casualty was handed over to paramedics. The male was believed to be taken to hospital for further tests and treatment.

North Stainley, Ripon – Time of call: 0544

A crew from Ripon responded to a report of water leaking through the kitchen ceiling in a residential property. Crews isolated the water supply before assisting the occupant to assess the damage and salvage property.

North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue also sent crews from Richmond, Ripon and Hawes to a number of automatic fire alarms. All of these activations were found to be false alarms.
