Time: 17:19  Location: Acomb

Crews from Acomb and York responded to a small fire in the kitchen of a domestic property. The fire was confined to the cooking pan which had been left unattended. The fire was out prior to crews arrival. Home fire safety advice was given to the occupant after a full inspection had been carried out.

Time: 19:24  Location: Acomb

A crew from Acomb responded to a fire in the open. Crews proceeded on foot with small tools and knapsack sprayers to find a pile of branches on fire. Crews extinguished the fire and cause was believed to had been deliberate.

Time: 19:52  Location: Malton

A crew from Malton responded to an activated fire alarm inside a residential building. This was caused by a fault on the system. Advice given.

Time: 20:12  Location: Ripon

A crew from Ripon responded to a fire left unattended. Due to the materials being burnt, crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet. Advice was given to the responsible person.

Time: 20:34  Location: York

A crew from Acomb responded to a cart on fire. Members of the public used a hose pipe to extinguish the cart prior to crews arrival. The cause of this was deliberate. Crews carried out an inspection only.

Time: 21:45  Location: Acomb

A crew from Acomb responded to smoke sighted inside a kitchen. Crews found this to be smoke caused by cooking fumes. A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke of residual.

Time: 23:22  Location: Acomb

A crew from Acomb responded to an activated fire alarm inside a commercial building. This was caused by a faulty detector head and confirmed a false alarm. Advice given.

Time: 01:13  Location: Harrogate

A crew from Harrogate responded to an activated fire alarm inside a commercial building. This was caused by a faulty detector and confirmed a false alarm. Crews carried out full inspection and left incident in hands of responsible person who is arranging an engineer.
