17:40 Hemingbrough

Selby crews responded to assist with a broken down boat on the water. The sole occupant of the boat was safely transported to bank side by the crew using an inflatable raft. The boat will be recovered at a later time

19:27 Broughton Road, Skipton

Skipton crews responded to a kitchen fire in a domestic property. The fire was out on arrival and was confined to the cooker.

20:02 Huntington

York crews assisted an elderly female with the removal of a ring that was stuck on her finger causing discomfort. Crews used ring cutters.

20:28 Harrogate

Harrogate crews assisted with a water leak inside property caused by a blocked sink. The leak was affecting the electrics in the property. Crews isolated the electrics and gave advice to the resident.

20:36 Skipton

Skipton crew responded to a bin on fire in a recreational ground. Crews extinguished the fire using knapsack sprayers.

22:08 West Ayton, Scarborough

Scarborough crews responded to reports of two large bales of silage set alight in field. Crews confirmed, on arrival, the bales were well alight and the fire had been started deliberately. Crew used pitchforks and knapsack sprayers to extinguish the fire.

22:21 York

York and Acomb responded to reports of smoke issuing from a fuse box in a property. On arrival crews carried out investigation, no sign of smoke or fire to fuse box or property. Advice was given to the resident.

22:48 Tang Hall

York crews attended a bin fire in a park and extinguished the fire using buckets of water.

23:41 Scarborough

Filey and Scarborough crews responded to reports of a kitchen fire in a domestic property. On arrival crew confirmed the residents had extinguished the fire which was confined to the cooker. Crews assisted with ventilation.

23:56 New Earswick, York

York proceeded to a fire in a domestic garden of property. This was a false alarm due to controlled burning.

Automatic fire alarms occurred in Richmond and York. All were confirmed as false alarms by crews at scene.
