18:25, Clifton, York
A crew from Acomb responded to reports of a fire to a BMW 5 Series. The fire was caused by a fuel system fault, and caused 100% damage to the engine compartment. Crews used one hose reel jet, two breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera.
19:03, Hirst Courtney, Selby
Crews from Selby and Thorne responded to reports of a fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm.
19:07, Bachelor Hill, York
A crew from York and a hazardous materials officer responded to reports of a strong smell of fuel in a property. This was a jerry can which had leaked within the property. Crews cleared the fuel leak up.
19:21, Darlington Road, Richmond
A crew from Richmond responded to reports of a fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm.
20:02, Cridling Stubbs, Selby
Crews from Selby, Castleford and Pontefract responded to reports of a large plume of black smoke, sighted by the motorway. Crews from West Yorkshire extinguished a fire to approximately 20 tires, prior to our arrival. The cause was deliberate.

A crew from York responded to reports of a fire alarm sounding. The cause was a low battery.
20:29, Lancaster Park Road, Harrogate
A crew from Harrogate responded to reports of 2 persons locked in a staff room, due to a faulty door. Crews used a forceable entry tool to gain entry to the room.

Crews from Richmond responded to reports of a fire in the open. Crews investigated the surrounding area and no fire was located.

Crews from Richmond responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential premises. This resulted in a false alarm.
23:22 – North Lane, Haxby
Crews from York responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a commercial premises. This resulted in a false alarm.
00:19 – St Nicholas Cliff, Scarborough
Crews from Scarborough responded to reports of persons trapped in a lift carriage at a residential premises. Lift keys were used to release eight persons. Advice was given to residents and staff.
01:55 – Queen Street, Scarborough
Crews from Scarborough responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential premises. This resulted in a false alarm.
03:40, Hudson Street, Whitby
Crews from Whitby, Lythe, Danby and Scarborough responded to reports of a fire alarm sounding, and an orange flicker producing smoke in a residential flat. This was a false alarm; with the flicker and smoke being produced by a candle.

A crew from Lythe responded to reports of flooding from a pond, with the potential to flood 6-8 properties.
