Incident Summary – Monday Nightshift, 17th June 2024

To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

Time: 17:13   Location: Scarborough Road, Filey

A crew from Filey responded to rising water levels outside a domestic property due to blocked road drainage and rain. Crews used a bucket to move water from affected areas near the property and advice was given to the occupant.

Time: 17:29   Location: Near A165, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough released two people from a lift inside a commercial building. Crews isolated the power and small tools were used only.

Time: 22:11   Location: Buckden, Grassington

A crew from Grassington responded to reports of fire spotted inside a forest. Crews investigated and discovered this was controlled burning with responsible persons in attendance. Advice given.

Time: 22:13   Location: Sherburn-in-Elmet, Tadcaster

A crew from Tadcaster responded to a small fire in a grass verge near residential properties. Crews extinguished the fire using a bucket of water.

 

 

Crews from Scarborough, Richmond, York and Malton responded to activated fire alarms inside residential and commercial buildings. These were all confirmed false alarms.
